The Essence of Romance was originally created by Central Booksource due to the high volume of customer questions such as "I loved this book, now I want to read the brother's story... can you tell me what the title is?" and "Can you give me a list of all the titles written by Ms. X, along with any pseudonyms and other genres she also writes?" This is just an example of the types of questions we were asked daily. The Essence of Romance answers these and much more.
After a few years of research, preludes to Essence of Romance were first published: MY LOVE NOTES followed by THE STORY CONTINUES. As there are several hundred romance novels published monthly and hundreds of series, trilogies and anthologies created, the two were merged, more information added and the result was the ESSENCE OF ROMANCE. In one form or another, the Essence of Romance has been available in print or online since 1985! The first volume of the Essence of Romance was published with updates released every six months. Within a decade, the printed information became too voluminous to handle efficiently so the online Essence of Romance searchable database was created for easier access to timely information as well as lower costs to bookstores, libraries and readers.
